About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Privacy Program Manager to lead our data privacy program and ensure compliance with data protection laws, including GDPR and UK data regulations. This role involves developing and implementing robust data privacy policies, managing compliance projects, and providing essential training across the organization. This position is integral to safeguarding our data practices and promoting a strong culture of privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and uphold data privacy policies in line with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Lead data privacy initiatives, including breach responses, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and data retention strategies.
  • Conduct privacy assessments and identify potential organizational risks.
  • Manage and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs) as legally required.
  • Collaborate with legal, IT, and other teams to ensure full data compliance.
  • Provide training to promote data privacy awareness across the organization.
  • Keep current with regulatory changes to maintain ongoing compliance.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection laws.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and data management.
  • Preferred certifications: CIPP, CIPP/E, or equivalent in data privacy.
  • Background in regulated industries (e.g., Consumer Packaged Goods) is beneficial.
