We are seeking a Housing Compliance Officer for an immediate start in a temporary ongoing role based in modern hybrid offices in London SE6. This position involves working for a local authority and focuses on data control related to housing compliance, rather than direct compliance execution.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead the council’s compliance processes to ensure the control, coordination, and verification of compliance certification.
  • Manage the performance of temporary accommodation providers, ensuring they meet property standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Verify compliance certificates such as Gas, Electrical, and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) across various housing schemes.
  • Conduct property inspections to ensure that temporary accommodations are fit for occupation and meet all regulatory standards.
  • Complete relevant compliance documentation for properties in a timely manner, ensuring that all legal responsibilities related to health and safety are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role within housing or compliance.
  • Strong understanding of property standards and health and safety regulations in housing.
  • Proficient in managing data related to compliance certification.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good experience with BSO (Building Safety Optimiser) or similar systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
