Housekeeper / Cleaner / Domestic Assistant - Elderly Care Village - £26,600 + excellent benefits - Central SW London

This is a wonderful opportunity to work within one of the UK's top iconic organisations, which offers the opportunity of working in a beautiful village type setting within the centre of London. This post is working in an elderly care residential setting, within a village type environment, that also offers a great experience to visitors and vast grounds. It is a very friendly and supportive environment to work in and is frequently visited by various visitors and guests. The Domestic Assistant / Cleaner is responsible to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Stores Manager, ensuring that the highest possible standards of cleanliness are maintained in all areas of the site which include public areas, historic buildings, residential areas, etc.

SALARY ETC:

  • £26,600 + excellent benefits such as enhanced holiday allowance, discounts, well-being program, training and development, etc.
  • Permanent, full-time
  • Working 5 days out of 7, on a rota basis (you must be able to work any 5 days as they can’t offer fixed days off)
  • Shift patterns: 7am to 3pm, 11am to 7pm, 7am to 4pm, and 10am to 7pm (You must be able to work all shifts as you will do different shifts on a rota basis).
  • Central SW London

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have full rights to work in the UK (not able to sponsor), and must be able to work all shifts and days on a rota basis.
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a people centred organisation such as a care home, hotel, hospital, private members club, etc.
  • The ability to carry out the duties using flexibility, initiative, co-operation and with the minimum of supervision.
  • The ability and experience of using cleaning equipment properly.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety, COSHH, etc.
  • Good communication skills, reliability, and a friendly personality who can communicate and empathise with people such as the elderly, visitors, senior management, etc.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Cleaning of all toilet facilities on main site to include: - Urinals, Lavatories, wash basins, floors and walls.
  • The Highest standard of cleaning must be maintained in all areas.
  • Ensuring that sanitary and hazardous waste is emptied and disposed of in the correct manner, as set out be the company.
  • Clean and maintain all public and visitor areas.
  • Supporting the Stores and Housekeeping manager/supervisor in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the site.
  • Ensuring that communal areas are kept clean, including benches, Brass plaques, stone, steps, smoking areas, passageways, Library, and directors apartments, etc.
  • Cleaning of sporting and events facilities prior and after use.
  • To clean any accidental hazardous spillages as necessary
  • To deep clean any carpets on an ad hoc basis as required.
