Housekeeper / Cleaner - Private Care Home / Healthcare / Infirmary - 26k to 26.6k + excellent benefits
This is a wonderful opportunity to work within one of the UK's top iconic organisations, which offers the opportunity of working in a beautiful village type setting within the centre of London. This post is working in a residential setting, within the nursing care building, for the elderly, who may have various healthcare issues such as dementia etc but have very warm and friendly personalities, as indeed the team that work there have as well. It is a very friendly and supportive environment to work in and is frequently visited by various high profile visitors and guests.
SALARY ETC:
- 26,000 to 26,600 + excellent benefits
- Permanent, full-time.
- Working 5 days out of 7, on a rota basis (you must be able to work any 5 days as they cant offer fixed days off)
- Shift patterns: 7am to 3pm, 11am to 7pm, 7am to 4pm, and 10am to 7pm(You must be able to work all shifts as you will do different shifts on a rota basis).

REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have full rights to work in the UK (they are not able to consider people on skilled working visas or people needing sponsorship)
- Proven experience in a Housekeeping or Cleaning role, within a Hospital, Care Home, Hotel, or similar.
- Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety etc.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Able to carry out a variety of shifts and working days, as detailed above.
- To have a friendly, empathetic nature, with a positive and reliable approach.
- Good communication skills and level of English.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Clean, floor areas and carpets in communal areas/pensioners rooms, medical centre and activity areas.
- Deep cleaning communal area carpets on a regular basis
- Clean communal ablution areas, showers/bathrooms, WCs, fitted furniture and floors as required.
- Clean/polish/dust all heritage woodwork, brass and fixtures/fittings in Long Wards/Communal areas as directed.
- Deep clean pensioners rooms when vacated and prior to a new occupant.
- All Ward furniture to be kept clean, hygienic and polished (any damage to furniture is to be reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor)
- Clean/removal of waste from all medical areas as required and as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor..
- All domestic electrical appliances to be maintained in a hygienic and safe condition by daily cleaning/inspections for faults (any faults are to be reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor)
- To make beds and assist with extra help for Pensioners as detailed by the Housekeeping Supervisor in conjunction with the Physician and Surgeon.
- The exchange of sheets linen, bedding and all laundry from Wards as required daily.
- Collection of hot trolleys, laying of tables, provision of consumable items, changing of tablecloths and napkins for meal service. Change water jugs and provide cold drinks prior to meals as required.
- Clean dining areas after meal service including restocking consumables mopping/cleaning of dining area.
- Cleaning of kitchenettes after each service including the washing up of all cutlery/crockery/serving dishes, cleaning of dishwasher and cleaning of each kitchen area also after each meal.
