About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Fire Door Installerto join our team, working on various social housing and education projects across London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire door installation, a thorough understanding of fire safety regulations, and expertise in carpentry and joinery. You will be working on projects that require high-quality installations, ensuring compliance with BM TRADA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair fire doors across social housing and education projects.
- Ensure all fire doors are fitted to meet BM TRADA standards and fire safety regulations.
- Carry out inspections and repairs, ensuring doors function correctly and meet safety standards.
- Collaborate with site managers and other contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, including compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism at all times.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures on-site.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- BM TRADA knowledge (essential).
- City & Guilds Carpentry & Joinery qualification (essential).
- Proven experience fitting fire doors, ideally on social housing or education projects.
- Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
- Full UK driving license (as a company van will be provided).
Desirable Skills:
- CSCS card or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- Additional fire safety qualifications would be advantageous.
