We are seeking a talented and motivated Director of English to lead our high-performing secondary academy in Thamesmead. In this role, you will be responsible for curriculum development, staff performance, and student outcomes across Key Stages 3, 4, and Post-16.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum development for English department
- Manage and support staff to achieve high performance
- Ensure student outcomes are consistently improving
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities
- Implement effective assessment strategies to track student progress
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant undergraduate degree
- Proven track record of raising achievement
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in curriculum innovation and assessment strategies
- Commitment to continuous professional development
