Job Overview
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Draftsman (CAD) to create and manage electrical drawings for a large industrial project. You will work closely with the engineering team to produce Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and layouts, ensuring compliance with UK standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create and review SLDs as per project and UK regulations.
- Draft LV cabling layouts, lighting, lightning protection, and ELV systems, including:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Security Systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Data & Communication Networks
- Coordinate with engineers, BIM teams, and project managers.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with UK electrical codes.
- Maintain records of design changes and approvals.
- Support construction teams with up-to-date drawings.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
- Experience as an Electrical Draftsman (CAD) in construction/engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
- Strong knowledge of SLDs, LV/ELV systems, and UK electrical standards.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork.
- Valid permit to work in the UK.
