The Geotechnical Design Engineer selected will be:

  • Designing geotechnical structures including retaining walls, slope stability, foundations and carrying out piling calculations.
  • Carrying out Desktop studies.
  • Scoping and (at times) overseeing ground investigations.
  • Mentoring junior members of the team.

To be considered for the Geotechnical Design Engineer position you should therefore have experience as a Geotechnical Design Engineer, with a strong understanding of soil mechanics and experience using software's such as AutoCAD, Excel, Alp, PDisp, Rocscience Slide, ADC Adsec, Oasys Pile and WALLAP. You must also have a degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical focus) or similar (MSc preferred). You must also have a full and clean UK Driving Licence, live in or near to London and have a full right to work in the UK.
