We’re looking for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position. You will have at least 5 years’ experience as a standalone QS.
In this role you will be responsible for managing all costs related to the mechanical and electrical aspects of a variety of construction projects. You will ensure projects stay within budget while meeting quality standards and client requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, negotiate and monitor project costs and contracts.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams throughout project lifecycle.
- Keep on top of project variations and manage change.
- Prepare tender docs, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities etc.
- Prepare financial reports and final accounts.
- Valuation of completed work and paying contractors.
- Cost analysis for repairs / maintenance / installations.
- Keep on top of risk management and cost control.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or another relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical & Electrical surveying, with proven leadership skills in managing projects
- Familiarity with standard contracts (NEC, JCT, etc.)
- Proficiency in cost management software and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
