Mechanical Engineer - New MEP Division - To 55K + 26 days leave + 5% pension, + full autonomy.

Working for a Property Consultancy that has every discipline in-house has many advantages. With work constantly being fed internally from the surveyors and project managers; their MEP Engineers never need to enter into a fastest race to the bottom, when it comes to fees.

Most of their MEP projects are currently at feasibility stage; so you won't be coming in to fix other peoples mistakes; but rather lead your own projects, from cradle to grave.

Their MEP team works on projects from feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction and enjoy have a sensible fee; to produce excellent quality work. Nothing gets rushed out the door unfinished; and projects are actually programmed sensibly, which makes a nice change!

As MEP is a relatively new service line within this well-established property consultancy, this Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role is unique. You'll have full autonomy and control over mechanical design and have a huge impact into the future success and direction of the mechanical team.

As a national building surveying, project management and construction consultancy, their MEP team has tripled in size over the past 18 months. Due to ongoing growth, they are now looking for a standalone Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in establishing and growing their new HVAC design division.

With at least four years' experience working within the built environment; you'll use your own initiative and experience to drive projects forward. However, you will have the support, guidance, and input from the M&E Director whenever you need it.

And in addition to HVAC Design, you'll also can develop new skills in client advisory services such Pre-Acquisition Surveys, TDD (Technical Due Diligence), Condition Surveys, PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and Dilapidation Surveys.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified and preferably working towards becoming a member of CIBSE or the IMechE.
  • Previous experience working for a building services, multi-disciplinary engineering, or property consultancy.
  • Previous experience seeing projects through to completion.
  • Digitally savvy and able to use either Hevacomp, IESVe, AutoCAD or Revit.
