What You’ll Be Doing

As a Designer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting pre-construction and construction teams. You’ll coordinate technical information across all RIBA Stages (1-7), ensuring project designs align with company standards and industry best practices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design Coordination: Ensure compliant designs, manage design risks, and provide value-driven solutions to minimize rejections and delays.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with teams during tender stages, create pre-construction design programs, and manage Contractors Proposals production.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with design consultants, statutory bodies, and the supply chain to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines.
  • Construction Collaboration: Oversee design during construction, manage changes, and ensure timely delivery in line with schedules and budgets.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct audits, secure client approvals, and maintain consistency between design intent and construction outcomes.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and a proactive approach to solving complex design challenges. Requirements include:

  • Experience: At least 2+ years in a technical design role, focusing on roofing, waterproofing, or façade/ cladding projects with a Main Contractor.
  • Education: HNC/Degree in Construction or an Architectural-related subject.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and awareness of BIM in construction.
  • Competencies: Detail-oriented, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
