Job Title: Drama Teacher

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours), Monday-Friday, term time only

Duration: Rest of academic year (July 2025)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our school as soon as possible, until the end of the academic year (July) - we are basedin NW5. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to inspiring students and fostering a love for the performing arts. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic drama lessons to students, encouraging self-expression, creativity, and teamwork, while also promoting confidence and public speaking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality drama lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
Develop engaging performance projects, including plays, monologues, and group scenes.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Participate in extracurricular activities, such as drama clubs, school performances, and competitions.
Collaborate with colleagues in the performing arts department to deliver cross-curricular initiatives.
Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a safe learning environment.
Keep up-to-date with developments in drama education and incorporate new techniques into your teaching.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Qualified Drama Teacher (QTS or equivalent) or relevant experience in teaching drama.
A strong passion for drama and the performing arts, with a creative approach to teaching.
Experience working with a wide range of age groups and abilities, including GCSE.
Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Ability to plan and organize performances, including rehearsals and productions.
Commitment to providing a positive learning environment for all students.
