Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our school as soon as possible, until the end of the academic year (July) - we are basedin NW5. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to inspiring students and fostering a love for the performing arts. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic drama lessons to students, encouraging self-expression, creativity, and teamwork, while also promoting confidence and public speaking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality drama lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
  • Develop engaging performance projects, including plays, monologues, and group scenes.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as drama clubs, school performances, and competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the performing arts department to deliver cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in drama education and incorporate new techniques into your teaching.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Drama Teacher (QTS or equivalent) or relevant experience in teaching drama.
  • A strong passion for drama and the performing arts, with a creative approach to teaching.
  • Experience working with a wide range of age groups and abilities, including GCSE.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Ability to plan and organize performances, including rehearsals and productions.
  • Commitment to providing a positive learning environment for all students.
