We believe in inspiring pupils in their learning through offering irresistible learning experiences.
What is Verbal Behaviour?
•    Verbal Behaviour is an approach that applies behavioural principles to language development.
•    Teaching methodologies used are evidence based and developed from an initial text written by Skinner.
•    Verbal Behaviour focusses on the reasons why we engage in different types of communication.
•    It helps us identify areas of communication that our pupils find difficult and how to teach them most effectively.
•    Verbal Behaviour doesn’t just have to be vocal communication.
•    Individuals can engage in Verbal Behaviour in multiple modes using sign language, communication books, electronic devices etc.
•    All of our teaching is delivered in the context of the Multi-Agency Support the individual receives.
We offer an exceptional CPD package for our staff and our ethos is ‘everyone a learner, everyone a leader’.  We believe in growing our own leaders and are passionate about offering all motivated staff opportunities to develop their leadership skills; especially as there will be many professional opportunities as we expand.
Qualifications and Experience:

•    Successful completion of NQT/ECT course
•    Evidence of at least two years’ experience of working as a Class Teacher.
•    Experience of working with pupils with a range of SEN or working within a primary school.
•    A willingness to lead a class using the Verbal Behaviour teaching methodology
•    Experience of organising, adapting and evaluating a modified curriculum across a range of subjects.
•    Evidence of the ability to plan and deliver targeted, well differentiated lessons to pupils with complex needs.

Skills, Knowledge and Understanding:
•    Understanding/knowledge of effective teaching approaches applicable to pupils with SEN, and evidence of successfully implementing these.
•    Ability to effectively organise a classroom and staffing appropriately for pupils with a range of SEN, complex learning needs and challenging behaviour.
•    Ability to apply formative and summative assessment strategies to inform classroom practice.
•    Ability to effectively assess and monitor pupils’ progress, using this to devise next steps of learning and inform planning.
