I am working with an 'Outstanding' Primary School in Wandsworth who are seeking an enthusiastic, reflective, and ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their dynamic teaching team in September. Main Duties and Responsibilities

As an ECT, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, inclusive, and appropriately differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum and school priorities.

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support learning and inform future planning.

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and positive classroom environment that fosters children’s independence and love of learning.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to deliver high-quality provision across the curriculum.

  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support pupils’ holistic development.

  • Participate fully in all aspects of school life, including staff training, meetings, extracurricular activities, and school events.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to continually improve your teaching.

Support for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

  • Dedicated, experienced mentor to guide and support you throughout your ECT years.
  • Regular 1:1 mentoring sessions and access to peer coaching opportunities.
  • Timetabled release time (in line with DfE guidelines) for CPD and reflection.
