Salary: M1 Outer London: £36,413 - M3 Outer London: £40,322

Teach Plus are currently working with a primary school located in Waltham Forest, who are seeking an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to start in April.

The school is a welcoming, supporting, 'Outstanding' primary school where children are genuinely happy to come to school and learn. They offer an ambitious curriculum and set high standards for education and training. The senior leadership team are incredibly supported and offer an open-door policy, staff feel valued and appreciated.

The school are looking for a confident, knowledgeable Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join them ASAP.

As an Early Career Teacher (ECT) you will be required to:

  • Take on full classroom responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking and assessments.
  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Use a range of different primary class teacher strategies and resources to support pupils' learning and development, including learning through play, phonics, and early numeracy skills.
  • Maintain consistent relationships with parents surrounding their academic progression.
  • Attend meetings and INSET days to further support the education and training of the pupils.
  • Be able to undertake long-term work in Waltham Forest.

The ideal candidate for role will have:

  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for education and training
  • Recent primary class teacher experience within a primary school setting
  • Ability to travel consistently to Waltham Forest
  • UK recognised Teaching Qualification with QTS
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
