Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse/Assistant)

Are you passionate about working with young children and keen to support their development in a welcoming and engaging environment? We are looking for a committed Nursery Practitioner to join our team at a primary school in Islington. This role involves working across the children's centre, including the baby room, providing care and support for children aged 0-5 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and supervision to children within the nursery and children's centre.
  • Engage children in stimulating educational and play activities that support their early learning and development.
  • Assist in implementing daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices.
  • Support the Nursery Manager and wider team in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Observe and contribute to recording children's progress and milestones.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Childcare qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) or equivalent experience.
  • A current Enhanced DBS check (on the update service or willingness to obtain one).
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery, childcare, or early years setting.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
