Position: Early Years Tutor Level 5 Location: Remote working (London) Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Type: Permanent The Role The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, supportive and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled onto funded programmes for Childcare qualifications from Level 1 - 5.

The position holder will engage and support a caseload of learners to achieve qualifications in a timely manner by providing meaningful teaching/learning and assessment sessions, conducting regular formal progress reviews and following the delivery guideline.

The position holder will be delivering Functional Skills as part of the overall apprenticeship framework within agreed timeline and will have good understanding/experience in conducting initial assessments, embedding Functional Skills, British Values and elements of safeguarding and equality and diversity into teaching sessions and conducting final exams/tests.

The position holder is expected to take full responsibility for own caseload, engage and retain learners, and meet performance targets as set by the line manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities o    Delivering full Apprenticeships, including Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT to level 2 both remote and face to face delivery. o    Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeships. o    Manage own caseload effectively using e-portfolio to progress learners effectively from start to timely completion. o    Respond to learner and employer queries in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring regular contact is maintained for the full duration of the learner journey and qualification. o    Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs. o    Ensure the Individual Learning Plan is maintained and updated regularly. o    Follow TAQA and QCF code of practice to ensure a quality learner journey is made available to all learners. o    Follow guidance with regards to teaching and assessment practice and the completion of paperwork, ensuring relevant documentation is used. Respond to feedback in a timely and professional manner. o    Whenever there is an opportunity, prioritise and use of technology to teach learners – online tools, interactive sessions, webinars, remote learning. o    Ensure that anyone else involved in the assessment process gives their consent, especially where this may mean intrusion into areas of privacy and confidentiality. o    Attend regular standardisation/team meetings to ensure consistency with other assessors and Internal Verifiers. o    Co-coordinating the recruitment of learners with Business Relationship Managers and other employer engagement functions in the business

Skills & Experience o    Must hold solid, occupational experience within Early Years / Childcare (ideally at senior / supervisory level) o    Hold own Maths and English Functional Skills at Level 2 (or GCSE equivalents) o    Must be flexible with travel o    2-year minimum experience of delivering Childcare Apprenticeship and Functional Skills led training programmes o    Relevant QCF Assessor and Verifier qualifications – e.g., D32/A1 Assessor o    D34/V1 Internal Verifiers/Internal Quality Assurer o    Hold/Working towards an IAG qualification o    Experience of using e-portfolios and good IT skills o    Good organisational skills o    Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people o    Provide Weekly/monthly reports as required for timely completion of learners o    Co-coordinating the recruitment of learners with Business Relationship Managers and other employer engagement functions in the business o    Excellent attention to detail
