Responsibilities of a Nursery Practitioner

As a Nursery Practitioner you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to children.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating and implementing engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times, maintaining a secure and nurturing environment.
  • Building strong relationships with children and their families, ensuring effective communication
  • Observing and recording children’s progress, identifying areas for development, and planning individual learning journeys.

Requirements

To be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Hold a relevant childcare qualification e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare
  • Demonstrated passion for working with children and a genuine interest in their development and well-being
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Strong communication skills, both with children and parents and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
