We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner who is Level 2 or 3 qualified to join our dynamic team and help shape the lives of children during their crucial early years.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing High-Quality Care: Ensuring the safety, security, and overall well-being of the children at all times.
- Engaging Learning Experiences: Planning, delivering, and evaluating age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Promoting Development: Supporting children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development, encouraging their confidence and independence.
- Creating a Positive Environment: Maintaining a warm and inclusive atmosphere, building trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observations & Assessments: Observing children’s progress and keeping accurate records to inform planning and meet developmental milestones.
- Teamwork: Collaborating with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations and continuity of care.
- Safeguarding: Following all safeguarding and child protection procedures, promoting a culture of vigilance and care.
- Health & Hygiene: Ensuring that the environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Qualifications: A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of EYFS: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and how to apply it effectively.
- Experience: Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred but not essential.
- Passion for Childcare: A genuine love for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to engage with children, families, and team members effectively.
- Safeguarding Awareness: Familiarity with safeguarding policies and a commitment to upholding the highest standards.
- Adaptability & Enthusiasm: A proactive and positive approach to challenges and a willingness to learn.
