About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Newham, London. This is a maternity cover position starting in September and lasting for the entire academic year. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply, and leadership opportunities/TLR may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for Year 4 students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and school initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching in primary schools, particularly in Key Stage 2, is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and student needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
