A bustling and vibrant 4-from entry school in the heart of Ealing Broadway is looking for a strong, resilient teaching assistant to join their school ASAP!

The role will be working as a 1:1 teaching assistant supporting a boy in reception (EYFS) who has Autism (ASD).

The student is verbal and can display challenging behaviour but is not aggressive.

As a 1:1 teaching assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 support to the pupil with Autism (ASD)
  • Facilitate the child's communication and language development
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and the SENCO
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil, promoting their social integration with peers

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) or similar special educational needs
  • Have previous experience as a 1:1 teaching assistant
  • Knowledge with challenging behaviour, including behaviour management techniques and the ability to adapt them to meet individual needs
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
  • Able to enforce routine and boundaries
  • Be kind, intuitive and have a good sense of humour!
