Role: ASD Learning Assistant

Rate: £90-£103 per day

At Remedy we are seeking a dedicated and passionate ASD Learning Assistant who is willing to support a year 5 child. As an ASD Support Assistant you will, you will be supporting the child in an SEN sensory hub, where the child will be using (PECS) to improve their academic learning. There will be some element of personal care involved.

ASD Teaching Assistant | The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.
