Rate: £95-£110 per day

If this sounds like your dream role, we are looking for a compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to work at one of our leading primary schools in South East London specialist TA who is dedicated to supporting a KS2 pupil with autism within a primary school. As an ASD Teaching Assistant will be assisting the classroom teacher with supervision over the students who suffer from, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.
Requirements:
- Understanding of EHCPs and strategies for supporting students with ASD.
- Ability to show empathy, compassion and resilience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- DBS (preferably on the update service)
