Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for confident Autism Teaching Assistant to work in SEN schools and SEN units across North London. There are a range of full time, part time and supply roles, plus opportunities to secure permanent salaried positions.

The role as Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting students with Autism in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Helping students communicate and sometimes managing their behaviour
  • Helping students gain a better understanding of their emotions
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
  • Working as key player within the support network
  • Celebrating every success!

As a Teaching Assistant you will need:

  • Experience of supporting children/young people with Autism
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • To be open-minded and have a positive and supportive approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK
