Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for confident Autism Teaching Assistants to work in SEN schools and SEN units across North London. There are a range of full time, part time and supply roles, plus opportunities to secure permanent salaried positions.
The role as Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting students with Autism in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Helping students communicate and sometimes managing their behaviour
- Helping students gain a better understanding of their emotions
- Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
- Working as key player within the support network
- Celebrating every success!
As a Teaching Assistant you will need:
- Experience of supporting children/young people with Autism
- Strong behaviour management skills
- To be open-minded and have a positive and supportive approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have legal right to work in the UK
