Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new role? Do you enjoy supporting children with Autism learn, develop and grow?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for confident Autism Teaching Assistants to work in SEN schools and SEN units across North London. There are a range of full time, part time and supply roles, plus opportunities to secure permanent salaried positions.

The role as Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting students with Autism in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Helping students communicate and sometimes managing their behaviour
  • Helping students gain a better understanding of their emotions
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
  • Working as key player within the support network
  • Celebrating every success!

As a Teaching Assistant you will need:

  • Experience of supporting children/young people with Autism
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • To be open-minded and have a positive and supportive approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK
