Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Enfield. This is a full-time position available fronm May to cover a staff member who will be away and presents an opportunity to support students with behavioural needs, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support for students exhibiting challenging behaviour

  • Maintain a proactive presence around the school to encourage positive conduct

  • Address low-level disruptions and help establish a focused classroom environment

  • Support students with strategies to manage their emotions and behaviour

  • Supervise students in the isolation room, ensuring they remain engaged with their learning

  • Lead and manage detention sessions effectively

Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a Behaviour Mentor role or similar position within a secondary school

  • Be confident, compassionate, and assertive, with strong skills in setting boundaries

  • Demonstrate excellent administrative ability; knowledge of SIMS is an advantage

  • Be consistent, dependable, and supportive-providing stability to students who need it most

  • Be physically active and comfortable moving throughout the school day to support behaviour management
