Remedy Education is looking for a BSL Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding primary school in Camden. This is a fantastic opportunity for deaf signers or individuals with BSL Level 2 or above who are dedicated to helping students thrive in a mainstream school setting.

Your Role as a BSL Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students who are deaf or hearing impaired.
  • Use BSL to communicate and bridge the gap between students and their peers/teachers.
  • Assist with classroom activities and learning tasks, ensuring students feel engaged and included.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create an accessible learning environment.
  • Support students in developing confidence, independence, and communication skills.
What We're Looking For:
  • BSL Level 2 or above (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with children (preferably those with Special Educational Needs or ASD).
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support.
  • A passion for helping young people overcome communication barriers.
  • Ability to relay BSL to non-signing students and staff.
