Milk Education are recruiting for a Early Reading Intervention Assistant for a Primary School in Haringey to work on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. This school has a reputation for it's bubbly and friendly staff and child centred approach to education.

Early Reading Intervention Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
  • Hearing children read on a regular basis and support with Read Write Inc phonics sessions.
  • Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate

Early Reading Intervention Assistant Non-negotiables:

  • Must have recent and relevant experience in an education setting
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Holds a Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, Etc.) or relevant experience (RWI experience is desired)
  • Must have a "can do" attitude and show a positive attitude when faced with challenges
