About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated support in the mornings for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including those with ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors.
  • Offer flexible afternoon assistance across Key Stages 1 and 2, ensuring all students receive the individualized attention they need.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and confidence for every child.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalized learning plans and interventions.
  • Build strong relationships with students, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Prior experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A proactive, resilient individual with a strong commitment to helping every child succeed.
  • Willingness to assist with nappy changing when necessary.
  • A deep understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Important:
