About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide personalized support to wonderful students in this outstanding school. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help children with diverse learning needs reach their full potential and thrive in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated support in the mornings for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including those with ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors.
- Offer flexible afternoon assistance across Key Stages 1 and 2, ensuring all students receive the individualized attention they need.
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and confidence for every child.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalized learning plans and interventions.
- Build strong relationships with students, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.

- Prior experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- A proactive, resilient individual with a strong commitment to helping every child succeed.
- Willingness to assist with nappy changing when necessary.
- A deep understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection is critical for this role. Successful applicants must pass all safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check on the update service.
