Working Hours: 08:30 am to 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, your role will include:

  • Morning Support: Provide personalized assistance to children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD and self-harming behaviors.
  • Inclusive Learning: Create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every student feels supported and valued.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Afternoon Flexibility: Offer crucial support across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to the unique needs of different age groups.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role, is preferred.
  • Nappy Changing: Must be experienced and comfortable with nappy changing and providing personal care.
  • Proactive & Resilient: A proactive, resilient individual who holds high standards and can help students achieve their best.
  • SEN Expertise: Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
  • Versatility: Ability to adapt and provide tailored support, including nappy changing, for individual student needs.
  • Team Player: Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
