A large Special Needs School Lambeth is recruiting several Early Years Teaching Assistants to start ASAP. These are full-time positions for the remainder of the academic year and beyond, with roles 1222paid via the agency on timesheets.

The school caters for students aged 2-19 with an EHCP for Autism and complex needs. All students at the school are working at an Early Years level, therefore they are looking for staff who have a strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework. It is important any shortlisted staff are comfortable working in the primary or secondary department following the Early Years framework. The school has a focus on learning, alongside fostering independence in a fun and nurturing way.

Shortlisted candidates must have proven experience in the UK. A strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework is essential. Classes generally have 4-6 students, with 2-4 teaching assistants depending on the class needs. Classes are mixed ability; therefore, it is imperative you are confident taking part in all activities and lessons. You must also be comfortable completing personal care. Many of the students have communication difficulties, therefore experience with PECs and Makaton is desirable.
