Milk Education is seeking a full-time Nursery Assistant to join a nursery team. In this role, the successful candidate will work across various rooms, from babies to pre-school children. The working hours are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

While formal qualifications are not required, previous experience working with children in an educational environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities for the Nursery Assistant:

  • Leverage your skills, training, and experience to support and enhance children’s learning, fostering progress.
  • Assist in implementing local and national learning strategies, such as Literacy, Numeracy, and EYFS/KS1, by recording achievements and providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Prepare, maintain, and utilize materials and resources for lesson plans and activities, supporting children in their use.
  • Work with small groups of children, taking responsibility for their learning and development.

What we’re looking for:

  • Prior experience working with children aged 0-11 in either a paid or voluntary capacity within the last two years.
  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework and the National Curriculum.
  • Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
