About the RoleWe are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic primary school community in Tower Hamlets. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to provide personalized assistance to children with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional success.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Morning Support: Deliver tailored support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD and self-harming behaviors.
- Afternoon Flexibility: Provide crucial assistance across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to the needs of different age groups.
- Inclusive Learning: Use your skills to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
- Positive Relationships: Build strong relationships with students, promoting their holistic development.

- Experience: Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proactivity and Resilience: A proactive, resilient individual who can uphold high standards and bring out the best in pupils.
- Versatility: Ability to support with nappy changing and cater to individual special educational needs.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
