Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young children in their early years? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an EYFS Nurture Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tottenham, Haringey.

This rewarding role involves working closely with vulnerable children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, helping them to build confidence, develop social skills, and engage positively in their learning.

The Role:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support for children with additional social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Assisting in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1, creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported.
  • Encouraging positive interactions and emotional development through structured activities and play-based learning.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans and strategies.
  • Helping children to develop independence and resilience in the classroom setting.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting young children in an EYFS or KS1 setting, ideally in a nurture, pastoral, or SEN support role.
  • A patient, empathetic, and calm approach to working with children who require additional care and encouragement.
  • A strong understanding of early childhood development and the ability to foster a positive learning experience.
  • Confidence in supporting children with a variety of emotional and behavioural needs.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills who can build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
