EYFS Teaching Assistant | Redbridge (RM6) | £94-104 per day | Long Term to Permanent | ASAP Start

Position Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to children with special educational needs in an Early Years setting in Redbridge. The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to establish an inclusive, nurturing environment that supports each child's overall development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-on-one or small group support to children with special educational needs.
  • Adapt and personalise learning resources to meet individual needs and abilities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing targeted interventions and strategies.
  • Track and document the progress of each child, ensuring their development is monitored.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a cohesive support plan.
  • Foster a safe and welcoming classroom where all children can flourish.
  • Provide personal care and emotional support when necessary to promote well-being.
  • Encourage independence and social interaction among all students.
  • Attend relevant training and workshops to stay updated on best SEN practices.

Qualifications:To be considered for this role, you should possess the following:

  • A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, especially in an Early Years setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young children's development.
  • Knowledge of different special educational needs and the interventions used to support them.
  • A willingness to learn and adopt new strategies and approaches.
