Empowering Learning is seeking passionate and dedicated graduates to join our team as Graduate Teaching Assistants in a reputable secondary school located in Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates (within the last 2 years) who are looking to gain valuable experience in the field of education and make a positive impact on students' academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide targeted assistance and interventions.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide additional support during extracurricular activities and school events as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must have graduated within the last 2 years with a degree in any discipline.
  • A genuine passion for education and working with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
