We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. Responsibilities:- Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Assist with planning and preparing learning materials and resources.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students to enhance their understanding of subjects.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Participate in school activities, including extracurricular events and parent-teacher meetings.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
- A degree in any subject (Education, Psychology, or related fields preferred).
- Passion for education and a desire to support students in their learning journey.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A DBS check on the Update Service is required (or willingness to obtain one).
- Previous child-based experience is preferred but not essential.
