A popular and inclusive secondary school in Enfield, is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and motivated individual who wants to gain valuable experience in education while making a real difference in students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing in-class support to students with learning difficulties, ensuring they can access the curriculum and make progress
  • Working closely with SEN teachers and the SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
  • Supporting students with tasks such as reading, writing, and comprehension in both group settings and one-to-one sessions
  • Assisting with the development of students' social and emotional skills
  • Helping to create an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents
Key Requirements:
  • A recent degree in any discipline (Education, Psychology, or related fields are advantageous)

  • Ability to work as part of a supportive team and take initiative when needed
  • Previous experience in a school or working with young people (desirable but not essential)
