About the Role:

Are you a graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generation?

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Graduates to work as Teaching Assistants at one of our vibrant secondary schools in Camden. Ideally, you will have experience working with children in some capacity, whether this be as a teaching assistant, tutor, support worker or sports coach. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment, working closely with the SEN department to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students are fully engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Resource Management: Help to organise resources, ensuring that all are prepared and available for lessons.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments.
  • Enrichment Activities: Support the development and delivery of extracurricular activities, such as clubs, workshops, and field trips.

About You:

  • Graduate: A degree, preferably in relation to Maths, Science, English, Law, Humanities, Psychology, Sociology or Sports.
  • Experience with Children: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Sports Coach, Youth Worker or Support Worker preferred.
  • Passionate: A strong interest in education and a desire to inspire young people.
  • Organised: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Communicative: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
