The Role:- Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant.
- Salary: £80-£100 per day, depending on experience.
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, and gain valuable experience working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities:- Support pupils with varying abilities, helping them engage in lessons and build confidence.
- Assist with lesson planning, classroom activities, and resource preparation.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide targeted intervention for pupils needing extra support.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Gain insight into teaching strategies and school operations, preparing you for a career in education.
- A recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood etc with a strong academic background (any subject considered).
- A passion for education and working with children.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting primary-aged pupils.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A desire to train as a teacher in the future (preferred but not essential).
- Perfect Pre-Teaching Experience - Gain essential classroom experience before applying for teacher training.
- Supportive School Environment - Work alongside experienced teachers who will mentor you.
- Career Progression - Many of our Graduate TAs go on to PGCEs or teacher training programs.
