Your Role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, as a vital member of the classroom team, you will:

  • Provide ongoing support to the teacher within your assigned classroom.
  • Conduct one-to-one and/or small group sessions to facilitate student progress.
  • Deliver tuition and booster sessions, especially for pupils with lower ability or Educational Health and Care (EHC) Plans.
  • Engage in reading sessions and offer numeracy and literacy support.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • A Degree in any discipline.
  • Previous experience working with students, such as youth work, teaching assistant roles, university ambassadorship, graduate tutoring, etc.
  • Passion for working in a school environment.
  • Ambitious, with a strong yet outgoing and warm personality.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, proactivity, and enthusiasm are imperative.
