An outstanding, independent primary school in Islington is seeking a warm, experienced, and proactive KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 from May 2025. About the Role - KS1 Teaching Assistant

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work across Key Stage 1, offering both 1:1 and group support within Year 1 and Year 2. Your role will include supporting class teachers with lesson delivery, helping to manage classroom behaviour, and providing tailored support to children with additional needs.

Responsibilities - KS1 Teaching Assistant

  • Support pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 during lessons and activities
  • Work 1:1 with children who require additional support, including those with SEND
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom organisation
  • Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Contribute to intervention groups and phonics sessions where needed

The Ideal Candidate - KS1 Teaching Assistant

This school is looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant who is reliable, enthusiastic, and confident supporting children in a classroom setting. You must be adaptable and ready to work as part of a collaborative, passionate team.

To be successful, you must have:

  • Previous experience working in a school environment
