About the Role - KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant

SANZA are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey seeking a full-time KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a high-functioning pupil in Year 5 with Autism.

This KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant role is focused on 1:1 support, providing consistent, calm, and structured help to a bright, inquisitive learner who benefits from routine and positive reinforcement. Importantly, there are no challenging behaviours - this pupil simply needs a steady and reassuring adult to support them throughout the school day.

As a TA, you will:

  • Work 1:1 with a Year 5 pupil with Autism
  • Provide academic and emotional support to help the pupil thrive
  • Liaise with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals
  • Support wider Year 5 classroom activities
  • Step in across Key Stage 2 when needed for general classroom support

What We're Looking For in a KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant / TA:

  • Previous experience as a TA or KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Confidence working with children with Autism or additional needs
  • Calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
  • A solid understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to a full-time, long-term role
