About Us:

We are working with an inclusive school in the vibrant borough of Southwark. They are committed to developing lifelong learners and as such are looking for an experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a Year 3 class. You must have experience of supporting pupils with ASD alongside academic knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to support and engage a pupil with ASD
  • Have high expectations and can deliver engaging learning
  • Experience of supporting pupils in Key Stage 2
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • Support pupils with their academic learning
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with ASD
  • Knowledge: Academic knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
  • Desirable: BA Degree in any subject
