We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Lewisham. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to progress within the education sector and eager to make a significant impact on children’s learning experiences.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead small groups of children, ensuring a productive learning environment.
- Work closely with pupils who have additional learning needs, providing tailored support and encouragement.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement educational activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor and report on the progress of children, adapting strategies as needed to optimize learning outcomes.
- Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom setup to facilitate a smooth educational process.
- A bubbly, enthusiastic personality with excellent engagement skills, capable of capturing and maintaining children’s interest.
- A degree from one of the UK’s top 20 universities is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in a child-centered role is highly advantageous, demonstrating a strong aptitude for educational support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to professional development and a keen interest in educational trends and techniques.
