Sanza Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a supportive and thriving primary school in the London Borough of Islington. We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team, primarily working within KS2 (Years 4 & 5). This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment while supporting children with mixed abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to students in Year 4 and Year 5
  • Assist the class teacher in preparing lesson materials and activities
  • Support students with varying abilities, helping them to engage in their learning
  • Manage behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and productive classroom environment
  • Work with small groups and 1:1 to offer targeted support where necessary
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all children

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a classroom setting (KS2 experience preferred but not essential)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A positive, proactive, and patient approach to working with children
  • Ability to support pupils of mixed abilities and differentiate support as needed
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a collaborative team environment
