We are on the hunt for two incredible mainstream Teaching Assistant to work in one of our leading mainstream School located in Tower Hamlets, East London. This Mainstream Teaching Assistant will require you to demonstrate strong SEN awareness as your 1:1 suffers from severe ASD. Therefore, you will be joining a friendly and supportive team, working in a cohesive environment to support this child.

Ideal Mainstream Teaching Assistant:

  • Graduates who studied either Psychology, Criminology, Education Studies or Creative Arts are welcome to apply!
  • Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs
  • A positive, proactive, and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
  • Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model
  • Supporting the child with their learning and development in areas such as literacy, numeracy, Key Stage and/or subject specific
  • 5 GCSE's Including (Maths and English)

Mainstream Teaching Assistant's Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children's achievement and progress
  • Actively involved in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils
  • Actively interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities
  • Aware of various types of SEN(SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia)is a plus
