Male Teaching Assistant | SEN Support | Long Term | East London

We are looking for an experienced Male Teaching Assistant TA who is passionate to work and support SEN children. We are thrilled to be representing a fantastic primary school that is based in East London and looking to expand their SEN team. As a Male Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students in a classroom and be on hand to give 1:1 support to a Year 5 boy that has moderate behaviour and SEN needs.

Job Role: Male Teaching Assistant

Start Date: October 2024

Location: E13, East London - Primary School

Contract: Full time, Long Term Contract

Rate: £95 - £110 per day

What will your responsibilities be?

- To provide 1:1 support with pupils

- Supporting with behaviour management

- Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff, meeting the children's specific needs

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and social integration

- Monitor and record certain children's progress, communicating effectively with the SENCO and other relevant professionals

What do you need to have for this role?

- Experience working in a SEND focused position within a school or care setting.

- An understanding of the specific challenges faced by children with complex needs and a commitment to inclusive education.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the child, parents, teaching staff, and external professionals.

- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting the unique learning journey of the child.
