Job Vacancy: Nursery Practitioner
Location: Hammersmith, West London
Contract Type: Part - Time, 8.30-12.30 Monday to Friday
Start Date: After Feb half term
PAY: 50 per day
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nurser Practitioner to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team at our vibrant independent primary school in Hammersmith. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of young children, helping them to build a solid foundation for their future education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences that align with the EYFS curriculum
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, focusing on their individual learning needs and helping them develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, phonics and social development
- Support students in developing SLCN, developing fine and gross motor skills
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with children in an early years or primary school setting, ideally within an EYFS class
- Level 2 childcare qualification
- A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and developmental milestones
- A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with young children
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience working with children within the early years foundation stage.
- Knowledge of phonics and early literacy strategies
- An understanding of effective strategies to support social and emotional development in young children
